Up GTI service intervals below (outside of annual oil change)

Braking system: renew the brake fluid (first change at 36 months; then every 24 months)
Renew the air filter (and clean the housing; every 60,000 miles/72 months)
Renew the timing belt(s) (Every 60 months; no recommended mileage)
Renew the timing belt tensioner (Every 60 months; no recommended mileage)
Renew the ancillary drive belt (No recommended period)
Renew the coolant pump drive belt (No recommended period)
Renew the spark plugs (every 40,000 miles/48 months)
Check the sunroof drain tubes; clean if necessary (every 20,000 miles/24 months)
Panoramic sliding sunroof: clean and lubricate the guide rail mechanism (first check at 40,000 miles/36 months; then every 40,000 miles/24 months)
Renew the dust and pollen filter (every 20,000 miles/24 months)
