A KW Height Adjustable Coilover Conversion Spring Kit is the ideal solution if you want to keep your cars stock dampers but still enjoy the benefits of adjustable lowering like you would get with coilovers.

Whereas a normal spring kit generally offers a fixed amount of lowering, KW’s coilover spring kit comes with it’s own adjustable spring seats/perches which replace the fixed factory items allowing the lowering level of each to be fine tuned individually.

Taking only a little more time to install than a lowering spring kit (perhaps an extra hour to fine tune the lowering amount) this kit replaces the stock, non-adjustable spring seats/perches and generally includes springs precisely matched to the factory dampers, adjustable perches/seats, bump-stops and dust-covers.

Unlike conventional coilovers which replace the adaptive dampers or an expensive electronically adaptable coilover set-up this upgrade goes straight onto the factory adaptive dampers.

Many of the springs provided are progressive rate. Progressive rate springs are ideal for fast road use. The spring is softer in the middle so for small compressions (e.g. small bumps and imperfections in the road) they remain compliant but firms up as it compresses further to provide excellent body control and taut, predictable handling through corners. KW specifically select the best spring for each application on a kit-by-kit basis.

Each kit is carefully tuned to match the factory dampers on the car it is intended for. These are proving to be a popular upgrade on high-end performance models with adaptive damping from the factory.

As with anything KW make, these springs are manufactured to the highest standards. Each part number is individually TUV certified (copy of certificate can be supplied upon request by us or KW) for peace of mind and to meet local legal requirements. Springs are manufactured from Silicum Steel with a tough weather resistant coating.

KW V3 Coilovers – Porsche 911 GT3/GT3RS (997)

Our engineers have developed a sporty yet harmonious basic setup, as with any KW coilover kit. To be able to guarantee the perfect suspension setup we test on our KW 7-post rig, as well as extensive driving tests on country roads, motorways and even on the Nürburgring Nordschleife. For years, the KW coilover kit Variant 3 “inox-line” is one of the top aftermarket products and is a benchmark for coilovers. It convinces sports car drivers, tuner, large-and small series manufacturer such as Alpina, MTM, Manthey, Oettinger and many more leading companies in the international automotive industry with its damping characteristics, quality finish and durability.

Advanced technology from motor sport

With the KW coilovers Variant 3 “inox-line” you will get much more than just a sporty lowering and excellent driving behaviour on all roads. It is based on our long experience as a suspension manufacturer and supplier for international motor sport, such as the touring car series ADAC GT Masters, FIA GT1, FIA GT3, International GT Open, WTC, VLN and the legendary ADAC Zurich 24h-race Nürburgring.

Similar to our racing coilovers from the KW Competition program, the KW coilovers Variant 3 “inox-line” can be adjusted independently in compression and rebound damping. This individual adjustment possibility is much appreciated by sports car manufacturers, tuners and drivers worldwide.

The perfect suspension setup for more driving pleasure

If you have already made your first performance modifications to your vehicle our KW coilovers Variant 3 will compliment your upgrades. The patented KW-valve technology for separate adjustment of rebound and compression damping allows you to individually setup your suspension. The adjustable KW bottom valve adjusts the low-speed range of the compression level in twelve clicks.

You don’t need any adjusting tools because of the patented compression adjuster at the lower end of the stainless steel housing. The adjustable compression damping with its twelve exact clicks allows you to manually influence body roll, without having to change the spring rate which optimally matches the rebound.

With the individually adjustable rebound setup of the KW coilover Variant 3 “inox-line”, you can directly influence the handling and comfort with its precise click adjustment. Depending on the vehicle type, the rebound valves of the KW twin-tube dampers on the upper end of the piston rod will be adjusted via an integrated adjustment wheel or a twist-adjustment wheel which is included in the delivery content.

By increasing the rebound force via the adjustment wheel body movements are reduced. You will have more stability during high speed cornering. If you change for example the wheel / tire combination (approved by the car manufacturer) to larger wheels, then with a KW coilover Variant 3 “inox-line” you will be able to adjust the car’s handling perfectly.

High quality, individual and durable

The KW coilover Variant 3 “inox-line” kit and every single damper are subject to extensive quality tests during production to meet the high standards of our KW quality management. This is the only way we can meet our expectations to give up to five years warranty on our KW coilover Variant 3 “inox-line” when installed at one of our KW specialist dealer. KW coilover struts made of stainless steel are 100% rust-free and an unlimited life time.

Therefore the operation of the continuous lowering via the dirt-resistant KW trapezoid thread and the KW composite collar is also not affected after years. By the individual lowering with its continuous adjustment range, you can emphasize the sportiness of your vehicle visually. A feature that is very popular in the performance-oriented tuning scene.

ST X Coilovers – Porsche 987

Need to get low? ST coilovers feature a continuous thread construction for height adjustment from moderate to eXtreme! Each coilover is manufactured by KW Automotive and their expertise and know how ensures maximum quality and fantastic driving dynamics.

Once installed, the ST X coilover can be easily adjusted using a polyamide ring on the galvanized, multiple-sealed strut. Adjustment is different for each car, but typically you can expect between 35 and 65mm of lowering on both the front and rear axles. For lowered cars as standard (such as the BMW E9x 3-series) the ST X coilover features a range of 30 to 60mm (front axle) and 25-55mm (rear axle).

Improved driving dynamics and handling

Designed in conjunction with KW Germany, ST X coilovers deliver a sporty handling by reducing the car’s bodyroll during compression as well as improving agility when driving fast. The high-quality production of each ST X coilover includes a low-friction and pressure resistant housing alongside a chrome-plated piston rod for maximum longevity. A mono block guide and ST seal package ensures the twin-tube dampers remain free of dirt particles in all weather conditions.

Lowering with StTyle: the ST X coilovers

Individual lowering within the tested adjustment range

Front and rear axle thread adjustment (when possible)

Galvanized coilover struts with additional coating for optimized corrosion protection

Complete solution with adjustable spring plate, race spring system and bumpers with dust protection

Powerful twin-tube dampers with high-quality components for maximum longevity

Wavetrac Differential – Porsche 981

6 Speed Manual

Simply put – Wavetrac is the only gear diff on the market that does not lose all drive when one axle is unloaded. Axles become unloaded in aggressive driving, track cornering, extremely slick surfaces, etc. It happens more than most people realise.

We won’t go into torque bias ratios or the concept of how torque biasing diffs work at this point. Let’s get to how the Wavetrac affects performance:

For example, you have a conventional gear diff (OEM, Quaife, MF, OBX, Truetrac, Torsen, etc.), you’re on a race track for a track day and during cornering your inside wheel bumps over the curbing. This is normal for track driving. The issue is that for the brief moments your inside tire becomes unloaded when bouncing over curbs, your other wheel is not getting drive – is not putting power down. Gear diffs need load on both axles in order to function. The result on a track (or during aggressive driving) is that there are many times when a normal gear diff supplies only intermittent power to the gripping wheel.

Now, same track with Wavetrac: the patented cam device in the Wavetrac prevents loss of drive when that inside wheel is unloaded. The device is able to generate a load inside the diff (to replace the lost load as it happens) that can then be biased to the gripping wheel – in the end making more consistent power delivery through a corner. That makes the car more predictable, and faster overall.

Other benefits:

Patented Carbon Fibre Bias Plate for the pinions. All other gear type LSDs run the pinions on the housing, meaning the friction from 0 miles is different to 100 miles, thus effectiveness is reduced over the life of the diff. With the Wavetrac performance is consistent with the Carbon Fibre bias plates!

Patented Wave Profile eliminates the effect of a near to and zero load condition drive ability issues found in all other gear type ATB LSDs.

ARP Bolts used throughout for superior faster reliability.

9310 steel gears run in billet or forged steel bodies.

Manufactured & Designed in the USA

WAVETRAC: Smooth is Fast

The beauty of the Wavetrac is that it is ideally suited to high performance road cars that see track use. It is very strong, yet transparent to both driver and traction control electronics during regular driving. On the track or in spirited road use, it provides drive to both wheels without the handling issues that traditional clutch type diffs create (there is no tendency to push/understeer with a Wavetrac).

The Wavetrac outperforms other gear type differentials because unlike them, it won’t lose drive when one axle is unloaded (which happens more often than you’d think).

Lastly, one of the most underrated benefits of the Wavetrac is its smooth delivery of power near the limit. Its patented design makes for a very predictable, smooth addition of power when you need it most – when things are at their limits: on the edge of traction mid-corner and using throttle to keep it there; or coming into a corner a little hot, but quickly back on it to maintain exit speed…

These situations are often subjective to the driver, but the benefit can be felt. The Wavetrac makes you faster because it lets you drive with confidence. Smooth is fast.

Our staff of engineers has broken the mold of “performance tuning” by developing new technology that allows for the development of the highest quality performance available. APR has revolutionized “chip tuning” with unparalleled innovation. There is only one performance engineering firm that offers software so refined and complete with so many options. There is only one APR.

“Extra steps must be taken.”

From the development process to the technical features, no other tuner offers the same innovation and refinement that you’ll get from APR. Many months have been spent developing the best ECU Upgrade. We go far beyond the traditional steps of just “leaning out the air fuel ratio” and “advancing the timing”. Extra steps must be taken. Typical data logging software used by most tuners is capable of capturing 4 variables at 3 samples per second. APR’s proprietary data acquisition software captures as many as 30 variables at around 22Hz. That’s an incredible 55 times more data gathered per second.

“…extra steps other tuners can’t take.”

To dramatically increase power and maintain factory drivability there are many factors to be considered. This is where “55 times more data” goes from intangible numbers to a smoothness you can feel. It helps duplicate the characteristics normally found only from the factory. Such precise matching you will not find in other software. These are extra steps other tuners can’t take.

The ECU Upgrade comes EMCS equipped (Enhanced Modular Chipping System). The “Extra steps” don’t stop with the software development process. Our ECU Upgrade development far surpasses anything else offered by any tuner in any market anywhere in the world. We have left the traditional method of re-flashing a chip in the 90’s and have moved on to the next generation of ECU Upgrade tuning. No longer are you limited to replacing one program with another program. With our EMCS, you can replace one program with four programs and several ECU features.
