Turbo charged engines need to be able to breathe; to assist this a range of turbo down pipes have been developed to suit high powered turbo applications. To enable an increase in performance we match pipe diameters for the peak performance gains.

A catalyst is a key component in emission control. It is also the most restrictive component of an exhaust. Our Sports Catalysts increase the gas flow while maintaining filtration rates. Our decats simply replace the catalyst altogether for the ultimate flow rate.

Want a little more power from your car? A cat-back exhaust is the perfect compromise, leaving the factory catalysts (where fitted) in place and bolting directly to the OEM system. Scorpion’s cat-back exhausts are designed for improved gasflow and sound, but leave the car fully road legal and MOT ready.

This front brake adaption kit allows the fitment of Porsche Boxster Calipers to VAG stock 312mm brake discs (see below for required parts & part numbers).

The caliper carriers are made from lightweight aluminium. These have steel thread inserts for strength along with a black anodised finish. The supplied front brake lines have been made to our specifications by HEL Performance, which include stainless steel fittings and are finished in their carbon black sheathing. The fitting kit includes bolts that are high tensile M12x1.25 coupled with A2 stainless spring washers.

To complete this front brake kit you will need:
2x Porsche Boxster calipers (Part No’s: 996.351.421 / 996.351.422)
2x 312mm front brake discs (Part No: 8N0615301A or our own J Hooked discs 8N31225-GA)
1x Set of brake pads to suit your driving style
Brake fluid to flush system when installing

J Hook Discs are the latest disc face design by AP Racing. Vagbremtechnic adapted the initial design onto OEM discs for the following reasons.

1.They give improved bite
2. For high temperature track day use they give better debris clearance and reduces distortion / vibration.

For road use we decided to opt for the version where the outer grooves do not run out to outside diameter but stay within the confines of the disc face. For road applications they also generate less noise than straight or curved groove discs and don’t suffer the fatigue cracking that drilled disc users can experience after many heat cycles.

So win win for J hook, Vagbremtechnic also take a non handed OEM casting and Left/Right the J Hook pattern to ensure temperature stability and an appropriately designed disc face for either the nearside or offside of the car to give a good gas path despite not using a handed casting. We’ve seen some real success on a budget with these discs especially when used with a four piston caliper upgrade.

Where they really come into their own though is when they’re combined with a more capable set of brake pads – this is a real track day enabler and we find customers finding other weaker areas of their car such as tyres and suspension now that their car stops reliably again and again. J hook is the homologated disc face for BTCC and has been for three years.
