<p>The tuning for this vehicle has been done to bring about a more focused and pleasurable driving experience. Peak power and torque are only small parts of the overall equation. The primary focus is to bring a smile to the driver’s face.</p>
<p>To that end, we have not only increased the power and torque, but also the smoothness and response of the engine. We have added more auditory involvement with changes to the factory overrun. This adds some further ‘pops and bangs’ to give the experience a more aggressive edge. We have addressed some of the shortcomings in the factory gearbox software to improve the performance, as well as the drivability.</p>
<p>Stage 2 is the next step in performance and noise. With the addition of Nortech downpipes the car begins to become a beast. The downpipes remove the restrictive factory OPFs (Otto Particulate Filter) and place optional catalytic converters downstream for significantly improved flow over the stock downpipes. The reduction in backpressure lowers heat in the engine compartment and allows the turbos to make boost with less effort. This increases the overall system efficiency resulting in another 10-20hp gain over the previous stage. The second obvious improvement from this stage is the more aggressive exhaust note. The bark from the big V8 is noticeably edgier and the pop & crackle in the overrun is more akin to a race car.</p>
