APR is pleased to present the ultimate engine control unit (ECU) upgrade for the 2.0T EA888 Gen 1 engine. APR’s ECU upgrade is available in octane-specific variations and is conveniently flashed to the vehicle’s factory ECU through the OBD-II port without any physical modification to the factory ECU. APR’s EMCS functionality puts the control of the engine’s operation at your fingertips and allows for additional features and options to be installed to the OEM ECU.

The ECU’s MED 17 engine management system is responsible for proper operation of the engine during constantly changing environmental and load conditions. With built in compensational data for environmental variables and varying load conditions, the factory ECU is far more complex and intelligent than units found in other vehicle makes and marques.

APR’s Calibration Engineers spent months calibrating the engine management system, including many hours of chassis dyno development. With a thorough understanding of the ECU’s torque structure, APR’s Calibration Engineers properly increased engine load to produce more power and torque across the entire power band. APR’s ECU Upgrade increases boost pressure, optimizes ignition timing, cam timing, lambda and more to produce higher output!

APR’s ECU Upgrades provides an excellent leap in horsepower and torque while retaining OEM knock control sensitivity and other built in safety features. This results in an exciting and powerful upgrade, optimized for various fuel grades found around the world

The APR Stage I ECU Upgrade gives you higher peak numbers of 255 HP/289 FT-LBS of torque on 93 (R+M)/2 octane without any hardware modifications and up to 269 HP/295 FT-LBS of torque simply by adding the APR Intake System. APR’s Stage II ECU Upgrade takes advantage of the free flowing APR Exhaust System and provides additional torque an power at no charge to existing APR Stage I customers with an APR downpipe. Expect higher peak numbers of 273 HP/300 FT-LBS of torque with as much as 71 HP and 87 FT-LBS of torque through the power band!

If you’ve ever wanted to know what it feels like to drive a dedicated race car or experience how a VW Cup Car BTCC Car stops then you’ve come a step closer with VAGBREMTECHNIC.

You may have a Stage 1 or Stage 2 car, which is used mainly on the road, or you may perhaps have a ring trip booked so you either don’t wish to buy or don’t feel the requirement for a full on Big Brake Kit.

For those in this situation, we’ve developed the track day light kit.

It comprises our own commissioned J Hooked 340mm discs, a set of Project Mu Racing H16 Compound brake pads and some Braided Lines.

The discs are plug and play for all 340/345mm (TT/Mk5/6 Golf & Scirocco R & S3) applications and have temperature sensing paint applied for the monitoring of peak temperatures.

Theyre lighter too than stock S3/R32/6R by approximately 1.9 kg (16%) and have a larger airgap for better breathing. The J Hook design discs offer a quieter operation than a straight grooved disc and in addition provide improved bite and better debris clearance whilst offering an excellent gas path

The Project Mu racing compound supplied is a homologated BTCC Qualifying pad that operates from low temperatures (they’re also very popular in time attack) and have a friction coefficient of almost twice that of popular pads such as DS2500. The supplied hydraulic lines are our own exclusive design and delete the additional join and feature a stainless banjo bolt for a more reliable and enduring installation

Vagbremtechnic Front 2-Piece 362x32mm Disc & Caliper Carrier Kit – Allows Fitment of 4 Piston TTRS/RS3 Brembo Calipers

Our disc installation kits come with everything you need to install a our 2 piece 362x32mm set up using TTRS/RS3 8P 4 Piston Brembo Calipers.

The caliper carriers are made from lightweight aluminium. These have steel thread inserts for strength along with a black anodised finish. The supplied front brake lines have been made to our specifications by HEL Performance, which include stainless steel fittings and are finished in their carbon black sheathing. The 2 piece brake discs are assembled with outer rotors made by AP Racing which are of the highest quality steel and come in either a grooved or drilled. Matched with our lightweight aluminium bells finished anodised in black, this brake disc setup is a floating 2 piece assembly and the float is in the disc bell rather than the disc. Lastly the fitting kit includes bolts that are high tensile M12x1.25 coupled with quality spring washers.

2x 362×32 2 piece front brake discs

Through countless years of professional racing, APR Motorsport identified the factory shifter cable bracket system as a source of sloppy shifts, missed gears, bracket and bushing failure and even transmission failure. The factory shifter cable bracket is made from plastic with rubber bushings. Over time the bushings wear out, and during long races, heat can cause the bracket to flex and break. To alleviate all issues related with the factory design and not just some, APR’s Mechanical Engineers created the ultimate and final upgrade: The APR Solid Shifter Cable Bracket.
