First of all, we had to find the best location for the system using the OEM mounting points. Then, we had our talented engineer team design the custom bracket, which we then manufactured from high quality aluminium. Because we do everything in-house, the care and attention at each stage results in a perfect fit that gives a factory look.

We’ve also taken aftermarket intake kits into consideration. The bracket and catch can assembly doesn’t protrude any further than the surrounding vacuum lines so it shouldn’t interfere with large intake ducts like you find in the Eventuri kit.

Whether your engine is standard or modified, you’ll feel the difference. By preventing a build-up of oil and sludge, cleaner inlet air results in lower hydrocarbon emissions. There is also less chance of losing power because of a lowered fuel octane rating.

What’s Included

HEL solid billet aluminium baffled oil catch can (with dipstick).

Custom HEL anodised aluminium bracket.

Preassembled HEL silicone hoses with the required fittings.

Stainless steel mounting hardware.

Hel Front Carbon Fibre Brake Pad Shims – BMW M2 (F87)

HEL Performance have pulled out all the stops when developing their carbon fibre brake pad shims. They’ve used the finest carbon fibre, combined with an exclusive resin which is non-combustible and thermally resistant to temperatures over 400°C (752°F). This special resin cures an attractive yellow or orange depending on the batch.

These don’t just look the part though: initial testing carried out by a professional racing driver in various road and track conditions showed a huge average temperature drop of 49°C (120.2°F) on the front calipers.

HEL carbon fibre shims come in at a super-lightweight 3.5 grams per shim, compared to weighty titanium which are a typical 17 grams per shim. That’s a dramatic 79% weight saving.

That’s not the only comparison which makes titanium inferior though: carbon fibre also has a much lower heat conduction compared to titanium (1W/mK compared to 22W/mK for titanium and 65W/mK for steel). Anything that helps reduce the temperature and increase efficiency of brake components is a good thing, especially as caliper seals are at risk of being damaged when they get too hot.

Installing these carbon fibre brake pad shims will certainly inspire confidence that when you brake aggressively, all the components are being kept cool and working at their best.

You can also re-use the shims when changing pads, as long as they’re in a good condition.

HEL Performance Rear Differential Oil Cooler Kit – Toyota GR Yaris

Under aggressive driving such as track days and even some fast road scenarios, we found the differential on a GR Yaris can often suffer with excessive heat issues. To try and combat this, we’ve developed this comprehensive kit from scratch on our own development vehicle. It appears we were successful.

Once the differential oil hits 82°C, the Mocal electric oil pump located safely in the boot sends the signal for the oil to flow through the oil cooler, which we’ve positioned on the underside of the vehicle to get maximum airflow.

We designated the race-proven and reliable Setrab oil cooler with the job of lowering the temperature of the diff oil to its optimal level. Lowering the oil temperature in a safe way extends the lifespan of both the expensive differential and fluid.

As a side benefit, this kit requires an additional 450ml of oil (nearly twice as much as standard!), which helps to reduce the servicing period of the differential and also aids in temperature management.

We recommend having this kit installed by a specialist as we give this kit a 4.5/5 installation difficulty rating.
